Research grants

The Centre for European Studies supports new research by regularly providing seed money for university employees who are writing research proposals.

The research application must have a clear connection to European matters. It should be based on a perspective (historical or current) that relates to contemporary conditions in Europe. The project should address issues of broader European interest and not issues relevant only to a single European country.

The Centre for European Studies gives priority to collaborative projects where the European research is multidisciplinary and involves several faculties. The grant can be used for the applicant’s own work or for the employment of an assistant.

Normally, calls for grants are announced both in the spring and autumn. Only researchers employed by Lund University can apply for the grant.

Information about the research grants is sent out through our mailing list, which you can subscribe to here. Information is also posted here, on our website.
